Letter To My Fans, Friends, Family

To My Fans, Friends, Family:

When I first started rapping I didn’t think it would go anywhere, and I know you didn’t think it would go anywhere either. I just kept working at it and I didn’t really know why. Why did I want to rap? It wasn’t me, it wasn’t who I was, or was it? Noone expected me to start rapping, everyone laughed at me, some people even still laugh at me, but that doesn’t phase me anymore. Very few people will ever understand my passion for music, but that is the exact reason I make music. I want people to understand how powerful music can really be. It’s a microcosm of emotions built up into this thing we call a “song”. Every note I play in a beat, every word I write on the page, every snare hit or bass beat, they all have a purpose. I’ve always said that people take good music for granted, and it’s true. People DO take good music for granted. Many people only hear the already popular artists and never hear how those artists got there and never hear the artists who are trying to make it in this competitive industry. So many things go into the creation of one song, one mixtape, one album. People need to understand the passion and hard work of musicians, rappers, producers, etc. One of my favorite quotes is “If you're absent during my struggle, don't expect to be present during my success.” That is such a great quote for many reasons. So, I wrote this letter to thank each and every one of you for your continued support of me and my music. It means the world to me. I want to share my story, my thoughts, my ideas, with every one of you, and I’m so thankful that you take the time to listen. This letter is for all you who are with me now and all of you who were with me from the very start of my rap career. Because…

This is the beginning. The beginning was not when I first started rapping, the beginning is now. This is the beginning of a huge step in my music career. I’m starting to create my very first mixtape (free album). This mixtape will be produced, written, mix, mastered, etc. mostly all by me. I may have some people helping out with the production and mixing of some songs, but mostly all of it will be my own original work.  It will consist of my thoughts and emotions. It will have fun songs, feel good songs, deep songs. But EVERY song will be a meaningful song. The songs won’t be about alcohol, drugs, girls, etc. like many mainstream songs. These songs will have purpose, meaning, and influence. I want to change people’s lives for the better one song at a time. I only have one request to everyone reading this; when this mixtape comes out, download it, and listen to it all the way through from start to finish. By doing so you will understand my passion for music and you will understand the positive message of my music.

Thank you again for your support, you have no idea how much it means to me. First, I would like to thank my parents for supporting me with everything I do. Yall are the best and I don't what what I would do without you. I’d also like to give a special thank you to my friend Demetri McClain (DJ DcM). This guy is great friend, amazing producer, and a great person. I’d also like to give a special thank you to all of the bloggers at College-Of-Music.com. You are the best, really. You all understand my passion for music and support my music all the way. I can’t ever thank you enough. Also, everyone who is still reading this is amazing, and I thank you. If any of my fans or friends ever want to talk to me, about anything, always feel free to. If you’re there for me, I’ll be there for you.

This is the beginning. This is…
